The idea for our sustainable fashion brand, Equal Rebels, was born out of our desire to spread our message for feminism and against discrimination in a direct and visible way. We agreed that flyers are quickly thrown away and don't stick in people's minds as long. We wanted to create something that would be remembered for a longer period of time. As friends who have known each other since school and who have become increasingly committed to feminism and women's rights over the years, we decided to create something together that fights for a better future. Together with our friend Cora, whom we met at a reading at Conne Island in Leipzig in 2019, we founded our own brand: Equal Rebels. Our vision was to create a sustainable fashion brand that stands up for feminism and against discrimination. We began planning and implementing the idea in 2022, working with activists, influencers, and suppliers to lay a sustainable and ethical foundation for our brand. Our goal was to create high-quality, durable garments that convey a message while being environmentally friendly. Our efforts were finally rewarded when we launched our online shop and blog at Equal Rebels in early 2023. We are incredibly proud to inspire our customers with our designs and our message. As a feminist brand that stands against discrimination and injustice, we want to make a positive contribution with Equal Rebels and advance feminism. We are convinced that with our commitment and work, we can make the world a better place. We are grateful to everyone who accompanies and supports us on this journey. We hope that our garments not only set an example for feminism and against discrimination, but also contribute to changing our society in a positive direction.
